Volunteer
Rideau Chorale presents two concerts per season – in December and once again in April/May. But we need your help!
Volunteers are essential in the presentation of our concerts. Your time commitment is minimal, just about an hour and a half per event. After that, we invite you to enjoy the concert at no cost.
The following positions are a great, low commitment way to meet people and be a part of a wonderful concert experience.
Ticket Attendants
- Greet guests in the “Purchased Tickets” line
- Check guests off the pre-purchased list (provided)
- Direct guests to ushers who will seat them
- Direct guests to Box Office, if needed
- Strong interpersonal skills are an asset
- Reports to the Choir Coordinator or designated supervisor
Usher
- Welcome guests and direct them to scan our QR codes for the online program
- Seat premium ticket holders in the reserved seating area
- Seat general ticket holders in the location of their choice: either on the floor or balcony
- Answer basic questions about Rideau Chorale and venue (washroom location, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills are an asset
- Reports to the Choir Coordinator or designated supervisor
We are also looking for volunteer assistance from the following professionals:
- Accountants/Bookkeepers – providing advice to the Treasurer on technical issues
- Communications – helping with advertisement and writing promotional articles
- Graphic Designers – assisting with graphics and branding
Rideau Chorale is an excellent and supportive environment to share your skills. We can also fill out paperwork for high school volunteer hours.
